Authors are invited to submit original papers that are not being considered for publication in any other forum. Manuscripts should be submitted in PDF format and formatted using the ACM camera-ready templates available at http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html. A submission to the symposium may be one of the following three types: (a) Research papers: We seek papers on original research work in the broad area of cloud computing. The length of research papers is limited to twelve pages. (b) Industrial papers: The symposium will also be forum for high quality industrial presentations on innovative cloud computing platforms, applications and experiences on deployed systems. Submissions for industrial presentations can either be an extended abstract (1-2 pages) or an industrial paper up to 6 pages long. (c) Position papers: The purpose of the position papers is to expose a new problem or advocate a new approach to an old idea. Participants will be invited based on the submission's originality, technical merit, topical relevance, and likelihood of leading to insightful technical discussions at the symposium. The position papers can be no more than 6 pages long. SOCC will use single blind review.
